vintage mother of pearl necklace in excellent condition considering its age. please reach out with any questions my why: being raised by a single mother with five children, it was instilled in us that looking for and owning things that were second hand was a good thing. my mother was gifted with many talents, but one I loved the most was her eye and ability to spot something of unique quality from a mile away. understand that i didn't grow love this quality til I had children of my own, and grew to understand that I could buy something new at a store, or by something that *looked* new or was the style the time for less just by shopping at thrift stores. over the years, i have grown to love estate sales, and that is because I am always intrigued by an items story, about who owned it before me, and what glamorous nights or difficult days it might have seen. i too have my mothers eye, amongst a colorful array of other things, and maybe some not so colorful, but this is one I am choosing to share with you. perhaps you are looking for a specific piece of jewelry or dress from the 20's-40's...and the story and quality of an item made then moves you too. so why not reuse and repurpose? own something unique and not mass made? i believe it's better for us in some cases, and better for the planet.
