opals and gold

Opals; fidelity, hope, and purity. Opals, unlike most gemstones is amorphous which means it does not have a defined crystalline structure. They take on many shapes and colors and in that way, are stunning and unpredictable. My Why:  Working on my daydream. :) The components are 14k golf-filled (not plated); ear wires are *mini* and textured, therefore, slip resistant. Gold-Filled - what is it? Gold-filled jewelry has one hundred times more gold alloy than gold plated and because that layer is so much thicker, it means gold-filled jewelry lasts longer than gold plated. Stone; Opal About Me: I love being outdoors; blue waters - preferably warm, sunsets, mountains, the rain, snow, etc.   Much of my art is inspired by mother earth, animals, life experiences, and humans. Sourcing: I source quality products locally and from New Mexico.  I use primarily precious metals and heavier gauges to promote longevity of my designs.  If a piece is created with copper, brass, bronze, etc., it will be noted as such in the description.
